Unlock BSNL 3G Teracom data card use it with Airtel and Vodafone Model no : LW272

How to Unlock BSNL 3G data card to use it with Airtel and Vodafone Model no : LW272 ?
How to unlock BSNL 3G data card( Model no : LW272 )use it with Airtel and Vodafone TATA DOCOMO etc.

I have purchased my BSNL 3G device ( Model no : LW272 ) in the start of year 2009, during this time no other providers were not available in the 3G market.
But time changes and slowly players like Docomo, Airtel and Vodafone etc guys entering market. So I was curious to know/try whether the same BSNL USB Data card can help me if I would like to shift to new operator in future. Luckly my device is not Hardware locked but it is just software locked. If it is hardware locked also we need to flash the memory.
In this BSBL 3G teracome device model no LW272 it is just interface software locked. Thats why it shows " Unauthorised sim, your modem will get closed now" .

So I tried the below steps and worked fine for me with vodafone 2G using Vodafone Mobile connect plan.(Post paid 350/month unlimited).

1. Install BSNL 3G software initially comes with the device to support the modem by installing the drivers.
2. Then check if you have still BSNL 3G sim working whether is connecting or not.
3. Once it is working as expected , go to the install location of BSNL 3G device software Ex : C:\Program Files\BSNL 3G Data Card\BSNL 3G and rename the BSNL 3G.exe to some thing else.
To prevent it running from the start of device.
4. Now create one new dial up connection by selecting the device HSPA DataCardPropritary USB MODEM
5. while creating dialup connection use dialing number *99#  ;  user name and password will be blank. (depending on the signal provider dialing number might change; but for Vodafone *99# is working)
6. Now disconnect the device and remove BSNL sim and keep the other sim card ex : Vodafone.
7. Just wait for 30 sec till the 3G usb LED glows to Green. Unless it glows green you cant do any thing.
8. Now just click connect for the dialup you created already.
9. Now you are all set to use the BSNL device for other operators also.
10. enjoy your Internet now !

Hopefully same steps hold good for Vodafone 3G also which is coming soon !

Swine flu H1N1 Symptoms and Precautions

I myself got terrified with the flu spreading news in India and totally worried about this. Was searching for H1N1 symptoms and precautionary measures to fight against this and got some useful information in net as well as through friends mails all those information I'm collating together and putting it here for all of our use.Yesterday, a friend who listened wanted me to write down briefly what I advised so that he could tell others in similar words.

Note : Please realize that this tips and information is not an official advice, especially the one about face masks or N95.

will face masks and N95 respirators protect us from H1N1 ?
The hype in media about the utility of face masks and N95 respirators as a tool for general
protection against H1N1 can't be deplored enough.

Most N95 respirators are designed to filter 95% particulates of 0.3µ, while the size of H1N1 virus is about 0.1µ. Hence, dependence on N95 to protect against H1N1 is like protecting against rain with an umbrella made of mosquito net.

H1N1 Symptoms:
  • Fever, moderately high, but unlike seasonal flu, can be absent in some cases too
  • Non productive Cough
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Sore throat
  • Body ache
  • Headache
  • Chills
  • Fatigue/tiredness that can be extreme
  • Nausea/diarrhoea
  • Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure

H1N1 Precautions :
Tamiflu does not kill but prevents H1N1 from further proliferation till the virus limits itself in about 1-2 weeks (its natural cycle). H1N1, like other Influenza A viruses, only infects the upper
respiratory tract and proliferates (only) there. The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/ throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a
problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps - not fully highlighted in most official communications - can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds
dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.

5. Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6. Drink as much of warm liquids as you can. Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.

All these are simple ways to prevent, within means of most households, and certainly much less painful than to wait in long queues outside public hospitals.

What is swine flu?

Swine influenza, or ‘swine flu’, is a highly contagious acute respiratory disease of pigs, caused by one of several swine influenza A viruses that cause regular outbreaks in pigs. Morbidity tends to be high and mortality low (1-4%). The virus is spread among pigs by aerosols, direct and indirect contact, and asymptomatic carrier pigs. Outbreaks in pigs occur year round, with an increased incidence in autumn and winter in temperate zones. Many countries routinely vaccinate swine populations against swine influenza. Swine influenza viruses are most commonly of the H1N1 subtype, but other subtypes are also circulating in pigs (e.g., H1N2, H3N1, H3N2). Pigs can also be infected with avian influenza viruses and human seasonal influenza viruses as well as swine influenza viruses.

The H3N2 swine virus was thought to have been originally introduced into pigs by humans. Sometimes pigs can be infected with more than one type of virus at a time, which can allow the genes from these viruses to mix. Pigs are therefore also called as “mixing vessels”, resulting in an Hide allinfluenza virus containing genes from a number of sources, called a ‘reassortant’ virus. Although swine influenza viruses are normally species specific and only infect pigs, they do sometimes cross the species barrier to cause disease in humans.

So far, the recent outbreak due to the new strain of influenza virus A (H1N1) has had cases reported from North America, Mexico, Spain and UK. Suspect cases have been reported from New Zealand and France and these are being investigated.

How does it spread?

It spreads in the same way as seasonal influenza – through direct contact (being within one metre of an infected person) or indirect contact (touching a contaminated surface). People usually get swine influenza from infected pigs, however, some human cases lack contact history with pigs or environments where pigs have been located. Human-to-human transmission has occurred in some instances but was limited to close contacts and closed groups of people.

What are the clinical symptoms?

Generally clinical symptoms are similar to seasonal influenza but reported clinical presentation ranges broadly from asymptomatic infection to severe pneumonia resulting in death. Patients experience high fever, cough, and sore throat, symptoms similar to typical influenza, with some patients experiencing diarrhoea and vomiting. The cases can rapidly progress to severe and unusual pneumonia.

2009 -10 ITR (Income Tax Returns) is now an easy job for any tax payer; Paying Tax perfectly is not just enough but it's simple and minimal thing from tax payer to submit his returns. • Upload the XML file
  • Immediately an e-mail containing the receipt which is ITR-V of e-filing will be sent to your email address.
  • You can directly download the same from the same website and you can track the status as well.
  • Try to open the ITR-V which is in the form of PDF file. Password would be PAN number followed by Date of Birth EX : U'r PAN no is AJUPP5876T and your mentioned DOB is Aug 1 81 your password to open pdf file will be ajupp5876t01081981
  • Take the print of this receipt sign on it (applicable only for people who don’t have digital signature to append in the document) and send it to the address mentioned at the end of document through ordinary post.
  • Address is Income Tax Department, CPC, Post Bag No - 1, Electronic City Post Office, Bangalore - 560100, Karnataka.

In case if we have a digital signature we will get digitally signed acknowledgement automatically which we can find in my accounts -> my returns. But for people who have sent it through normal post it may take some time to see acknowledgment in the accounts.

Don't you think it is easy process for a tax payer to file his returns online?

How to transfer bike registration from one State to other (Karnataka to Andhra)

How to transfer bike registration from one State to other (Karnataka to Andhra)??

Most of us having two wheelers purchased and registered in one state may want to use in the other state. To do so we may require to transfer the bike registration from one state to other in India.
Say you have a bike purchased and registered in Karnataka and on job transfer you moved to Hyderabad along with your bike, Now to ride the bike legally in Andhra, you have to transfer your bike registration from Karnataka to Andhra.

So below steps followed by my friend Mr.Ahmed for above case will surely give you an idea and help you in migrating your bike registration.
Thanks Ahmed ji for your interest in helping others on this.

Location

RTO office – Kukatpally – Hyd

From JNTU -> Towards Malaysian Township -> First left (around 200 mts)

Time

10:30 to 13:30

Queue:

Do make yourself available by 10:15, there could be queues for Learner’s license and other state registrations separately.

Process:

1.       Tax amount to be paid

Show the following docs to RTO. He would check the vehicle type/model and manufactured year, and calculate the tax amount to be paid through D.D. in favor of “SRTA, R.R.Dist”.  (Your DD amount to include tax plus any other penalty towards late submission N.O.C, others )

Documents required:

·         Copy of R/C

·         Copy of NOC

·         Copy of driving license

·         Copy of bike Insurance(valid)

4.       Receipt:

The receipt given against the DD is sufficient to show the traffic police that you are in the process of AP registration.  Do carry copies this receipt.

5.       For AP registration:

Submit the following doc’s in Original to RTO

·         RC Original

·         Original NOC

* If you are having NOC issued for place as “Hyderabad” you have additionally get approval from RTA- Hyderabad.

For this you have to produce

 * a notary on Rs.10/- certifying that owners details (you can get a copy of existing forms on request)

  * a written communication to RTA- HYD (With revenue stamps) to get NOC transfer from RTA- HYD to RTA – R.R.dist

He has collected the receipts and pending with notary at RTA- HYD, not sure of the time line to get new AP number.

Also known that, RTO might check the condition of the vehicle, so be there with the same bike that you want to register.

Logo/icon/image on browser address bar - Fevicon

Fevicon : Fevicon is the icon or image displayed at the left side of browser's title bar.

Generally for all blogs sponsored by blogspot will be a Big orange B symbol as the fevicon. But many bloggers love to change this to their loved ones.
In my blog the fevicon is some thing like below
<link rel='icon' href='http://www.geocities.com/krishnaspage/mylogo.ico' type='image/x-icon' />
<link rel='shortcut icon' href='http://www.geocities.com/krishnaspage/mylogo.ico' type='image/x-icon' />

</head>
  • Preview the template .
  • You should be able to see the your favorite icon in the browser's title bar.
